Thomas Cook have announced a new twice weekly service to Antalya from May. Thomson hava announced that it's to introduce 2 new winter sun routes from LBA in November. The tour operator will be offering weekly flights to both Tenerife and Sharm el Sheikh. Ryanair is setting up a base at LBA. Balkan Holidays have announced a new winter ski route to Sofia in Bulgaria from (LBA) Leeds/Bradford Airport for next winter 2010/11 season
The new weekly flights to Sofia will be the first ever winter ski route to the Bulgarian ski resorts from the West Yorkshire region. As an operator Balkan Holidays have been offering summer inclusive tour services to Bourgas from LBA for other 20 years.
The new flights will be operated by in- house airline Balkan Holidays Air, with an Airbus A320 aircraft. The route will commence operation on Sunday, December 19th, 2010 and then runs until Sunday, April 9th 2011. Flights will arrive LBA at 12:45 and then depart back out to Sofia at 13:45

Thomson Holidays announce 2 new winter sun routes from LBA for the Winter 2010/11 season.
Tour operator Thomson's Holidays has announced 2 new routes to be operated weekly from LBA next winter 2010/11 season.
Flights will operate to Tenerife every Friday while flights to Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt will operate every Tuesday from November 2010 to April 2011.
Both new services will be operated by in-house airline, Thomson Airlines new Boeing 737-800WL aircarft.
Winter ski routes from LBA to Austria and France get extra capacity with upgraded aircarft for the 2009/10 season
It has tour operators Crystal ski and tui travel have both upgraded there weekly ski charters to Innsbruck and Chambery from LBA this winter.
Last year the flight to Innsbruck was operated by Austrian Arrows, Fokker 100 aircraft. This winter will sees the service been operated by Austrian Airlines, Boeing 737-800 aircarft.
Meanwhile the Chambery flight is now operated by Thomson Airlines using on of its Boeing 737-800 aircarft.
Yorkshire's own low cost airline Jet2.com announce new route to Tunisia, Year round service to Egypt and extra capacity on its routes for next summer 2010 Jet2.com has announced that it will commence a new route to Tunisia from May 2010 from LBA. Flights will operate once weekly to Monastir every Sunday on one of the airlines Boeing 737-300 aircraft. Jet2.com had earlier this summer announced that they would be adding new routes from LBA to Bergerac in France and Corfu in Greece along with the introduction of a new Year rond service to Sharm el Sheikh. The airline has also confirmed that it is planning on also adding extra capacity on services from LBA to both Dalaman in Turkey and Tenerife in the Canary Islands.

Ryanair announces 34th base to be at LBA, 2 Aircraft, 17 routes and 1 million passengers a year Ryanair has today, Tuesday August 11th 2009 confirmed that it will open a brand new 2 based aircraft base at LBA from March 2010. The airline currently operates to 3 routes from LBA including Dublin, Gerona and Alicante. With todays announcement of a new base the airline is to open 14 new routes From early March 2010 the airline will offer new low fare flights to the following destinations Carcassonne, Faro, Ibiza, Knock, Krakow, Malta, Limoges, Malaga,, Murcia, Nantes, Palma, Pisa and Venice-Treviso. Tour Operator announces brand new route from LBA to Turkey-Antalya for summer 2010 season. Thomas Cook Holidays will be offering for the first time flights to the Turkish region of Antalya from LBA this coming summer 2010 season.
Flights will operate twice weekly every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon with the airlines based Airbus A320.
Jet2 announce 2 new summer sun routes to the Greek Island of Corfu and Bergerac in Southern France
Once weekly flights will operate to Corfu in Greece every Monday with Boeing 757 aircraft from June 2010.
Twice weekly flights will operate to Bergerac in France every Tuesday and Saturday with Boeing 737 aircraft.
Eastern Airways close Leeds base.
As From the winter 2009/10 schedule the airline no longer bases aircarft.
The airlines routes from LBA to both Aberdeen and Southampton will continue to be operated twice daily.
Aberdeen flights will continue to be operated by a Scotish based aircarft while the Southampton route is now operated by a Teeside based aircraft
